By the request and suggestion of some concerned brothers and sisters, due to the reason that some of those who are diligently praying for Cassidy and her family are from all around the world and may not know our circle of friends personally, the regular Blog posting may confused them because Dr. Jesse would sometimes refer to people by the names known to local circle only. Therefore, this new Prayer page is made for those who would like to just see the updated prayer needs of the Sheng Family so they can pray more specific prayers for them. So feel free to pass this site onto more prayer buddies to effect a greater prayer power. Thus the name of this new site http://PowerPray.blogspot.com

The love from the whole school came today...

Cassidy was cheered by her whole school today because 3 of her teachers brought greetings from everyone at Cliffwood to her. Mme Puderecki, Mme Rapson and Mrs. Wong visited CaCa today and brought a whole bunch of cards and presents from the whole school. Cassidy says she doesn't even know how to thank sooooooo many people. Her friend Daniel from school also called Cassidy on the phone to chat, CaCa had a joyous day today. CaCa is also excited about the fundraising event the whole student body is doing for her at school, she praises God for sending her all these wonderful angels to love and care for her. She is very grateful for her 3 teachers who came today and told her so much about what's going on at school and she wants to say "hi" to everyone and most importantly "Merci Beaucoup".

Cassidy's teacher was telling Mama Carmen today that they will encourage all students at Cliffwood to view Cassidy blog so that they can learn more about Cancer and other children who are sick. We all think that is very meaningful and is very happy that Cassidy's experience can become a blessing to many others. Let us pray that God make good uses of this blog and may this become great blessings to all kids who are sick and also their daddys and mommies.

CaCa is having a great appetite today and she has eaten quite a bit. She is feeling her body getting stronger and stronger and she can't wait to go see all her friends at school.

As promised, a series of pictures have been put into a slideshow to witness the love and power of God in little Cassidy's life. Please click HERE to be brought to a designated page to view the pictures. Let us praise the Lord for all the amazing things He has done unto us all through our sweet little Cassidy as we take a walk down memory lane of Cassidy's journey through 2 big surgeries.

Moved up to 8A

Cassidy has moved from the 5th floor to the 8th floor last night for her Chemo and every thing went well and the drip was over this morning. Cassidy is doing great after and was sleeping in till around 10am. Then she got up hoping to find Kendra who used to work on the 8th floor and took very very good care of Caca. If Kendra is reading this, please leave a note here to let CaCa know how you're doing at your new job at the other hospital. CaCa was quite upset this morning when she heard that you have moved away. She wants to let you know that she is walking around now and is going to do rehab at Bloorview soon. Cassidy says she will pray that you enjoy your new job and she prays that God will protect you and bless you whever you go because you are such a blessing to little children who are sick. Cassidy says a big Thank You for Kendra in keeping her happy on the 8th floor.

Other than a little bit tired, Cassidy is basically feeling no side effects from last night's chemo. She is having quite good appetite, except she wanted some white rice but we didn't have any for her. So she just ate a bit of Pork Short Ribs, a bit of Rice Noodle and little bit of DimSum. Cassidy wanted to come down to read the messages everyone left in her blog but the nurses were changing her dressings so she will have to come down another time.

Cassidy is having fully packed days at the hospital these last few days. Other than saying goodbye to her nurses friends on the 5th floor, she also went to make cookies at the Marnie's Lounge yesterday. She also has 3 school sessions each day + some free time and play sessions from the ChildLife nurses. But she was a little tired today so she has skipped the classes this morning. But we are planning on going down for a bit of shopping later on when she is not that tired.

Glenn's daddy came to visit Cassidy this morning but CaCa was sleeping in, but she thanks Glenn's daddy and his brother for dropping by to check her out. She is longing to see more of her friends once she's getting better after her chemo treatments. Cassidy asks you all to keep leaving her messages so she can stay in touch with everyone.

Please continue to pray for Cassidy's recovery and pray that she adapts well to all the changes that are going to take place in the coming weeks. Also pray for Mama Carmen and Papa Andy for their health and strength in helping CaCa moving around. And most importantly, remember to pray for Aaron to enjoy school and other things as mommy and daddy are busy taking care of Cassidy in the busy weeks ahead.

We are almost done putting together the pix show for you to see, stay tuned!

God's at Work

A message from Concy-E-E to be shared.

Praise to the Lord. God's word is so faithful. Cassidy was sitting on a wheel chair for almost five months. She can walk now. Cassidy's fight against Osteosarcoma is to reveal the power of God's work. We might have been focused too much on God's miracle to keep her leg. What we can see now is the power of God's love through Cassidy's true passion about LIFE. How strong the little girl is to pursue God's purpose on her life. This is a powerful testimony which can inspire you and me. Are we fulfilling the God's purpose in our lives just like Jesus and little Cassidy?

Jesus answered. "This happened so the power of God could be seen in him." (John 9:3)

Up and walking already!!!

CaCa had a great day yesterday. A nurse gave her a walker to try and she got up and walked to the washroom, then she even walked out to the hallway all by herself. Everyone at the nurse station cheered for her, in fact the whole floor cheered for her.

CaCa was walking with GorGor Aaron and she was bragging about walking just like GorGor only GorGor has 2 legs and her only 1. She has walked around places for so long yesterday that she was actually getting tired and sweaty, but she got so excited about walking around and not realizing that she was a bit over-exercised until mommy told her to take a break.

See, CaCa is supposed to move to the rehab centre to learn to walk and maneuver around, but it seems that she is already doing a good job, I'm sure that CaCa will do great in her rehab and be all well and going home real soon. Let us continue to pray for CaCa's health and strength that she gets to enjoy her coming month even during treatments and rehab, pray that God protects her from any tiniest accident, and pray that she gets up and running really soon so we can go anywhere she likes with her.

Dr. Jesse is so happy for CaCa, when CaCa gets well and got fitted with her prosthesis, we gonna have to go chase after some squirrels together. Anyone like to join us when we do that?

CaCa is so looking forward to go to DisneyWorld to meet with the Princesses and Mickey and Minnie. She can't decide which princess dress to wear when we go there, may be she'll wear different ones everyday. Anyone interested in joining CaCa at Disney? Although we don't know when we're going yet but that's in the planning. Make sure you let us know if any of you are interested so CaCa can count you in when that happens. We shall praise and thank our God for bringing CaCa through all the big events in the past months, and we shall also remember to ask God to keep helping CaCa recover well, let's also pray together and ask God to guide us along the coming months so we can make the best plans for CaCa to go to Disney. Cheers!~

Cassidy says Thanks! to her friends.

Dear friends and teachers from Cliffwood,
Cassidy wants to thank you all so much for cheering her up. Especially to those who called into the hospital for her and chatted with her over the phone. Cassidy misses seeing, talking and playing with you all, sometimes when she thought of you she feels the hospital is extra boring and can't wait to get better and be able to come to school to see everybody.

Cassidy will start chemotherapy this weekend, please pray for God to minimize the side effects so CaCa won't need to feel sick during chemo, and also pray that this round(s) of chemo would be effective to kill off all the tumor cells. As soon as the chemo is done and cleared, probably sometime next week, CaCa will be transferred to Bloorview Kids Rehab Hospital where she will stay for rehab treatment. Cassidy is a little disappointed that she still cannot go home but she also understands that the sooner she gets done with rehab, the sooner she gets well and be able to not only go home but also back to school. Although there will still be some months before that happens, but as long as you friends continue to pray for Cassidy's recovery and encourage her and support her during rehab, I'm sure Cassidy will try her best to get well as quickly as she can and to join you all again at school. We'll post up Cassidy's new contact info at Bloorview when we have it so you know where to find her. And continue to write your comments here in the blog and Cassidy will get them.

Cassidy read a book about Terry Fox yesterday and had a lot of questions to ask mommy. I'm sure she was very encouraged by Terry Fox and may be one day, she will do something like Terry Fox did to help other children with sickness and physical needs. May be you friends of Cassidy can all find out more about Terry Fox and the brave things that he did so when Cassidy gets all better, you guys and gals can help Cassidy to do something brave like Terry together. That should be fun and great!!!

Cassidy has also been eating a bit better in the last few days, please pray for her appetite to build up so she can enjoy more different foods to help build up her body strength. Pray especially for CaCa to be able to eat ALL KINDS of yummy foods that is good for building up her strength and that her body needs to fight off the chemo side-effects. It is very very important that she eats well and not just certain narrow selections of food for her body to grow and fight at the same time. Please remember again to pray that all the foods CaCa eats would work together well in her body to make the chemo effective in killing off the cancer cells and not to pass out of Cassidy without working. Hey friends, may be you can share your favorite food ideas with Cassidy so that she gets to experience everybody's favorite type of food. Make sure you tell us your name so we can tell Cassidy who's favorite she's trying and she'll be able to tell you back what she thinks of it.

Hey if you're reading this and you're Aaron's friend, make sure you give a big high-5 to Aaron for being a wonderful and supportive big brother, he's a big hero to Cassidy and to all of us. How much I wish to have a big brother just like Aaron.

Stay tuned folks, we got some serious volume of pix in the making for you to see later. See ya!

CaCa did great yesterday.

CaCa began her day on Monday morning with a special book about a little tree that has a few branches that fell sick and needed to be trimmed off, yet although it has a few branches cut off, it still grew up to bear abundance fruits. And right away, CaCa says she's like the tree because she has a "branch" cut off too. She was glad to know that the tree grew up to be a happy and useful tree bearing many fruits and then she moved on to other things and had a quite happy day. How amazing it is that God would use a storybook about a little tree to help CaCa see herself as still being useful and still can have a very happy life ahead of her.

The nurses helped CaCa to flip onto her tummy so to help her operated leg stretch. CaCa first told the nurses that she wouldn't be able to do it but after a little bit, she agreed to give it a try and the nurses were hoping that she would be able to stay on her tummy for about 30minutes. After a few painful moves, CaCa was finally on her tummy with a few pillows under her to help her stay at a position that the needles and tubes on her won't get in the way. Although the epidural was bothering her back and causing some discomfort, but CaCa ended up staying on her tummy for almost 2 hours because we got her the Barbie Rapunzel movie to watch. She watched the whole movie till the end and she actually had more pain in her neck than anywhere else after that because she kept her neck turned towards the TV for the whole time. Good thing the pain in the neck didn't last and she was so happy when the nurses helped her turn back to lying on her back, she says she has never been so comfortable.

CaCa's appetite is still not too great but she has started to eat a little bit. Let's continue to pray for her to have a better appetite so that she can build up her strength fast. Her oncologist saw her briefly yesterday and told us that they will consider starting chemo again by midweek this week depending CaCa's blood work reports. Her epidural is supposed to come out today and CaCa will be given oral painkillers to help with the pain in her leg. Please pray that all the medical treatments work out for Cassidy so that her leg heals quickly to enable her to start her rehab treatments soon and be able to go home even sooner.

Also pray for the Sheng's family as they are considering a new residence that would accommodate Cassidy's future needs. However there is no urgency to this so please do not flood them with your recommended agents or listings or what you think they should look for and buy. Unless you yourself have gone through the same situation that they are now in and can share with them your experiences with a child with physical needs, otherwise, please JUST PRAY for God to guide them and to give them wisdom to select what is best for Cassidy for Aaron and for their family as a whole.

Please also remember Aaron in your prayers as he has started yet another busy school year with extra curriculum. Air cadet is another extra curriculum activity that has been added to his already full activity schedule. Mama Carmen worries that he might get too exhausted from attending too many activities but on the other hand she is not able to give more time to be with Aaron herself. Papa Andy believes that Aaron is mature enough to choose what activity to join and whether he can handle all the extra curriculum. Dr. Jesse heard that Aaron is also taking the bus to school this year so to free up mommy and daddy to tend to Cassidy more easily. Let's give our Big GorGor Aaron a big round of applause for being so understanding and so independent. Although Carmen and Andy were the ones taking care of Cassidy all these months, but without Aaron being such a good boy in taking care of himself and being so independent, it would have been really hard for Carmen and Andy to juggle things around. Let us pray that God continue to nurture this wonderful boy in all the things that he needs so that he grows up to be yet another strong witness of the goodness of God to others. Pray also for his road safety and his health and well being going between school and activities.

Aaron, we thank God for making you such a wonderful boy. We can all see that your mommy and daddy are so proud of you. Thanks for your understanding especially in the last few months of your parents' need to run off to Cassidy all the time and thanks for being a big hero to Cassidy. You are surely an angel God sent to your family. Hang in there for a bit more, as CaCa gets better, things will slowly go back to normal. God is not only with Cassidy, He is also with you all the way. He knows about your sadness and tears, He knows all about your struggles, He's around even when mom and dad are not. So feel free to tell God everything in your heart and He will share your burden. Life is full of burdens, but we who know God have Him to share our loads, so Cheer!

Looking good!

Dr. Jesse paid a late visit to Cassidy last night and found her looking real good. Her blood pressure and heart beats are steady and her face has a sweet pink glow. She was awake and alert then started to feel sleepy just before 10pm. Cassidy said she didn't sleep too well the night before but she promised to try again to have a sweet night of sleep.

As we all know, God has amazingly provided all that was needed in the surgery and that CaCa's leg wound is all closed up, no more weekly skin stretching surgeries. The doctors was able to stretch a bit of the skin above the incision on the top of CaCa's leg to close up the wound. CaCa's leg is now at a slightly upward position when she lies on bed and this is because the skin that was pulled down to cover the wound needs time to stretch and relax. And CaCa needs to try and move her tummy more to help those skin relax, so let us all pray for CaCa to be able to do that without pain and that her leg would quickly return to the relax position and her back more relaxed.

CaCa is still not having much appetite after the surgery although she is allowed to eat again. So let us pray that God helps CaCa to build up her appetite again and help her to express her feelings in the kind of food she likes to eat. For the time being, CaCa's blood nutrients are closely monitored so that the doctor would know what to add into her IV supplements.

This is a new beginning of a new chapter of CaCa's life, as well for Carmen, Andy and Aaron. And this is as good a beginning as we are made anew by Christ. Although little Cassidy is missing a leg to our human eyes, but in God's eyes, she is as whole as she was originally made by God in His own images. She is as valuable to God as the moment she was conceived and as cherished by our heavenly Father as the moment she was born. How much so is she to us all. Cassidy's brave journey all along has strengthened many of us in our trust and faith in God as well as bringing us all closer to a prayerful and holy life. How wonderful is God in turning what seems to be a curse into abundant blessings to many. Let's not let the pains that CaCa suffered go to vain, God's love and blessings are obviously seen; witnessed; testified and shared in the lives of many throughout these months, it is God's calling to us all to receive His love. Our sweet Cassidy would smile if she knows that you have made the decision to accept this unconditional love, that she has already accepted from our God in heaven.

Father God, thank You for Your love.
Jesus, our Lord, thank You for the Cross where You poured out Your life for us because of love.
How can it be that LOVE can be so great as such...

Some Brief Update (Sept 15)

Carmen said CaCa did not feel comfortable with both legs when moving the body. This may be the numbness feeling by epidural. Epidural will be given for couple more days.

Also, CaCa sleeps a lot. This is normal too after the surgery.

Just a brief message so all who are reading the blog know that our brave little girl is fine.

Please continue to pray for Ca and the Sheng's family! Your care and love are very much appreciated!

Caca in Recovery Room

Carmen and Andy have seen CaCa in recovery room at 9:30 pm.. She has not waken up yet.

I had a chat with Carmen and knew that CaCa's attitude was fine before the surgery. She said she knew what's going to happen and just not want to talk about it. However, she's talking with them, smiling and laughing. She has a good spirit!

CaCa, we are proud of you! Get well soon! We will all keep praying for you and your family! We are looking forward to seeing you again, brave girl!

Surgery is Done! Skin and Muscle are enough!

The operation is basically done. The Anaesthetist is injecting epidural for Ca.

Carmen said the doctors opened up the leg and found there was still some living tissue. They were thinking whether or not to allow more to remain with the leg. However, the final decision was to remove it all. The anaesthesia that was originally used did not work well with CaCa, that's why they are injecting epidural so as to keep her away from pain in the next few days.

Thank God that everything went well! God has prepared! It turned out that the skin and muscle of CaCa were enough to close up the wound! Praise the Lord! That also mean that Chemo can probably start earlier than we thought!

Thank you all for your prayers! God has listen to all of us in one voice!

Carmen and Andy and some uncles and aunts are waiting for CaCa to be transferred to the recovery room. We will keep you posted.

So as the surgeon said, "this would be the beginning of a new journey of Cassidy." Let's pray for Ca Ca's acceptance of the 'new' leg and her rehabilitation process.

Please pray for CaCa's recovery and her peace of mind in handling and facing the chemo and other necessary follow-up work! Also the physical and spiritual health beings of Andy and Carmen and Aaron!

I'm sure CaCa will outdo this George Gor Gor

Gotta see this dance!
http://www.yougottadance.com/GeorgeMovie.html

CaCa, looking forward to see you dance even more beautiful than this. Be strong, Jesus is will you all the way. XOXOXOXOXOXOXO

CaCa Wants to Thank You...

CaCa have some fun this morning hunting for different items in playrooms, main floor and black wing, etc..

CaCa wants to thank everyone for your support and prayers!

Also, she wants to specially thank the following people for the 1000 paper cranes which you can find in the pictures below this posting. It's time for you, yes, you who are reading this to do the hunt. :)

The cranes were made by the following aunts (E-E in Cantonese): Ching E-E, Moon E-E, Bee E-E, Yan E-E, Leona E-E, and all the Gor-Gor-s (Carmen said they are boyfriends of the E-E-s), and also Por Por. I am sure she likes them very much!

CaCa would also like to thank Wini E-E for the E-fu noodle and beets soup. It's the 1st time she's ever had E-Fu noodle.

Please pray for her surgery which is scheduled for 2:30 pm tomorrow (Sept 14).

CaCa, if you are reading this now, eat more since no food after midnight tonight, and be strong. God is with you! We are all with you too!

On Your Mark, Get Set, Go!!!

Things are going fairly quickly and Cassidy's next surgery has been booked for THIS FRIDAY at 2:30pm.

Doctor explains that this is going to be a multi-stage surgery. The main surgery this Friday would be to remove the lower leg that was originally connected in the Rotationplasty surgery and the incision and cut-off bone position would be right at the last cut line. This is to preserve the most length of her leg bone to allow for future prosthesis adaptation. However, that is also why this surgery needs to take several stages to complete. As extra skins and muscles are needed to close off the wound, the first stage of this surgery is to just make the cut to remove the non-functioning parts, but Cassidy does not have enough skin and muscle now to close off the opening, therefore, artificial materials will be used to close off the end of her leg and also to stretch her skins and muscles. Then about once every week, minor surgeries will be done in her room to stretch more of her skin and muscle until when there is enough to close off her leg wound. Doctors said it will be weeks before the surgery is actually complete and then chemo would rush to begin all over again once the wound is closed up with CaCa's own skins and muscles. Then if everything goes well, CaCa will then start her rehab treatments.

We need your prayers to ask God to bring Cassidy through this whole multi-stage surgery and to minimize her pain throughout the whole procedure. Also pray that God would heal not only her body but also her mind and soul as she tries to adapt to her new body. Mama Carmen says Cassidy is agreeing to this surgery but she is still quite upset about having to loose a leg. Mommy's heart is in so much pain as she watches little Cassidy having nightmares after nightmares in her sleeps. And when she was told about her surgery to be on Friday, Cassidy's emotion was quite disturbed by such a short notice.

As Cassidy goes through this multi-stage surgery, she will have an open wound for weeks and that is a high risk of infections. Pray that God would bless and keep CaCa in her ultimate health so that her skins and muscles reacts well and grow quickly to be enough to cover up the wound and complete the whole surgery. As she endures the pain in these coming weeks, pray that God gives CaCa patience; perseverence; faith and strength to joyfully face each day one at a time by the power of God and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Pray also that Carmen, Andy, Aaron and all who provides care for CaCa would draw strength and endurance from God to be patient and careful in helping CaCa recover.

This Friday, wherever you are, would you stop and drop everything and whisper a prayer for CaCa as she gets wheeled into the OR? Wherever you are, let us shake the hands of God together at 2:30pm this Friday to plead to God for our little Cassidy. Let us create this powerful network of prayers, in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, to bind any disturbance by the evil power. Set an alarm in your cel phone / palm / blackberry, set an alarm clock at your home / kitchen / office or anywhere you'd be at 2:30pm this Friday. Go to Dayspring.com and schecule a reminder greeting card to be sent to yourself at 2:25pm so you'll see it by 2:30pm. Do whatever you have to do to remind yourself to stop and drop everything and pray for Cassidy's surgery. Would be in a meeting? Whisper a blessing and prayer in your heart for Cassidy right there and then in the conference room, better yet (if appropriate), pray together with whoever you're with and ask them to continue to pray for Cassidy in the future. That's the least we can do.

The Lord has spoken.

A SMS update from Carmen last night:
"CaCa is okay. Dr. Hopyan talked to CaCa, he said her leg is not turning out the way we are hoping for...need to remove the leg. CaCa agreed but showed a bit sad. If her blood count is ok...will do the surgery next week."

As we have prayed, God has granted a decision to the medical team to amputate the leg. Although this is a very heartbreaking decision, but we all trust that this is best for Cassidy's overall health. If Cassidy's blood count and other vitals are in good status, the surgery will be scheduled for next week and chemotherapy will once again be held up until after the next surgery. This is time we pray again for CaCa's body to get extra strong so that she can endure another big surgery and recover well. We shall also pray for the surgery to go smooth and wisdom and strength from God to the medical team. And we pray that all the bad-guy cells be removed from Cassidy's body once and for all.

Most importantly, pray for Cassidy's heart to have peace about yet another change to her body, pray that God teaches her that she is ever valuable to God no matter what happens with her body, because God looks at the hearts of people not their appearances. Although it's going to be another scary experience, but I pray that CaCa gets to experience God more deeply this time with greater strength, courage, peace and joy. And I pray the same for all of us who often see her, talk to her or play with her. I encourage us all to express our joy and gladness or even anticipation of her next surgery to help Cassidy actualize the hope of getting well and going home soon. May be we should have a party for her before she goes in.

Our God would not break the bruised reed nor will He snuff out a smoldering wick. (Matthews 12:20) Our God would not burden us with loads that we cannot bear. Our God promises that "For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (Matthews 11:30) Let us rejoice and be glad in whatever God has set before us. Let us take to heart these great promises from our Lord God and "Be Strong and Courageous" as we take each step towards the glory of God with our dear little Cassidy.

Let's begin our week with prayers.....

Our Heavenly Father in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Beautiful and Precious Name! Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth and especially onto our sweet Cassidy as it is in Heaven. Give us this day and this week our daily bread, as well as the strength and peace and joy that we need from You. Forgive our wrong doings as we are forgiving those who wronged against us and protect us from committing anymore wrong doings against You and others. Lead us not into temptations but deliver us from all evils.
Our friend and Savior Jesus, we are painful inside for we feel the pain of little Cassidy. We also feel the pain that Camen and Andy feel in their hearts because their little girl is fighting a harsh battle of cancer. We are all exhausted and sored seeing our little sister suffer yet there's nothing we can do to ease her heavy load. But Lord You know how Cassidy feels and how we all feel, because You Yourself suffered greater pains and turmoil and You have won the ultimate victory over these physical and emotional sufferings. Lord we claim victory in Your Holy Name for Your precious daughter Cassidy. Help us to have enough faith and trust in You that no matter what may come, everything will be alright because You Yourself will carry Cassidy and us through for it is Your own promise that we can do everything through You who gives us strength (Philippians 4:13).
Lord Jesus You suffered because of Your love for us, in the same way, we suffer because we love Cassidy and her family. We thank You for teaching us how to love by Your own suffering love, we praise You for making us able to love. God we ask that You train us to love Cassidy as You love her so that she grows up in Your abundance love and brings to many others Your love that overflows in her life. There are many many more suffering children and parents at the hospital, God help us to share Your love with them too when we bathe in Your love with Cassidy. And let the love You put between Cassidy and us attract those who are in need of Your amazing love.
God there has to be a purpose in all that happened to little Cassidy. Although we don't know it and want to understand more, but God Your way is beyond our way. It is our prayer that Your will for the best for Cassidy be done to glorify You and You alone. Because For thine is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory forever and ever. Amen.

CaCa, hang in there. Jesus loves you, so smile! Smile is the best medicine against cancer.

Carmen, Andy, we are all behind you to support you no matter where we are or what happens. Hang on to the hand of God and He will guide you along. Surrender all yourselves to God and He will fill you with His love, wisdom, power and blessings.

Pray and Pray and Pray.....

As we all know Cassidy will soon face another surgery perhaps to amputate the lower leg that has not been healing as good as we expected it to. But Dr. Hopyan is still holding on to see if there is a better alternative. Dr. Hopyan is trying to decide whether to amputate above the last incision or to save part of the lower leg so CaCa will have a longer bone for prosthesis in the future. When he asked Cassidy if she wants to keep the leg last week and CaCa expressed that she does want to keep it. So we are all holding on and praying hard for God's will be done on Cassidy.

Praise God that Mommy Carmen is feeling better and can spend longer time with CaCa at the hospital. But Mama is concerned about Papa Andy's strength as he is feeling very very tired lately. Please continue to pray for Andy's health and strength as he needs to run between work, home and hospital. Stay tuned for more updates. For the time being.........please Pray Pray Pray and Pray.

Running out of munchy idea.

CaCa had another fun filled day yesterday. CaCa went downstairs to play Bingo and won 5 big prizes - 2 Barbie dolls, 1 Bratz doll and some other stuff. But CaCa was too busy playing and didn't eat much for lunch so she got hungry way before dinner time. But I guess CaCa ran out of food ideas so she was a bit frustrated when she was so hungry but didn't know what she wanted to eat. But it was great that uncle Gary got there just in time to find her favorite Chicken Wings for her so her tummy can be happy again.

Pastor David Lee from GCGC came visit CaCa today and as soon as he saw her, Ca stole his heart totally with a sweet smile. Pastor Lee bought Cassidy a Happy Face Flower to hang by her bed so when she wakes up, she can see the happy face flower greeting her a good morning everyday. So CaCa was smiling so happily and looking at the happy face flower all the time.

Mommy Carmen is still not feeling too well so CaCa is still missing mommy very much. CaCa says she is wishing for mommy to stay overnight with her again. So let's remember to pray for mommy to get well so she can stay overnight with Cassidy again. Papa Andy was very tired from work today, let us also pray for him to have enough strength for work and running around everyday. Also pray that he finds time to take some real good rest so that he maintains his health also.

CaCa full of energy!

Dr. Jesse is finally back to Toronto and got to see my sweet CaCa yesterday. She took a long walk with Auntie Doris in the morning and had a Chicken Caesar Wrap for lunch and 1 corner of chocolate after that. Then in the afternoon, we went for another long walk and CaCa ate almost a whole Chocolate Dipped Donut!! She also did some crafts and read a very very long story book of the Light Princess.

Mama Carmen fell sick and had to stay home to rest away from Ca, and CaCa misses mommy much. But she is so thoughtful to find a card from her new greeting card collections from Auntie Doris, and then drew a very nice GetWell Card for mommy. She got lots of GetWell cards from all the uncles/aunties and friends who love her, and now she's happy to be able to write one for mommy to wish mommy a quick recovery from her flu.

It was a day filled with fun and activities yesterday and CaCa didn't even take a nap in the afternoon. When Daddy came to the hospital in the evening, CaCa told Daddy that she is bored and needed to find some movie to see and things to do. She was full of energy and looking good. When the ChildLife nurse came play with Cassidy in the afternoon and asked if she is a happy girl or sad girl, she told the nurse that she is a Happy Girl! Yeah!!! Praise The Lord that CaCa is still having high spirit and is joyful in the love of God.

Let us continue to pray for CaCa's leg to heal, although Dr. Hopyan is forecasting another surgery to amputate, if God is willing, we pray that a miracle be done unto little Cassidy. Pray also for Mama Carmen to recover from her flu and pray for extra strength in Papa Andy during this time when Mama can't be with Cassidy. Also pray for God to arrange for suitable manpower to be with Cassidy during the day when Andy's at work and Mommy being sick can't stay too long at the hospital. Aaron is also under the weather, let us pray for him to be well especially when school has just started.
