By the request and suggestion of some concerned brothers and sisters, due to the reason that some of those who are diligently praying for Cassidy and her family are from all around the world and may not know our circle of friends personally, the regular Blog posting may confused them because Dr. Jesse would sometimes refer to people by the names known to local circle only. Therefore, this new Prayer page is made for those who would like to just see the updated prayer needs of the Sheng Family so they can pray more specific prayers for them. So feel free to pass this site onto more prayer buddies to effect a greater prayer power. Thus the name of this new site http://PowerPray.blogspot.com

One more to go!

CaCa has done great in this round of Chemo and her body clears off very quickly that it didn't even need all 72 hours to clear off the chemo drug. She is now just released by SickKids and waiting for Daddy to come pick her up and bring her back to Bloorview. Then according to the schedule, if CaCa's blood levels are good and all goes well, she would be back at SickKids again this Thursday for her very very LAST round of chemotherapy. Praise God for CaCa's great progress and let us continue to pray for CaCa's body to stay strong and well throughout all the rest of treatments.

CaCa will then be having a full big scan in February as a check up after the completion of all chemotherapy and that would mark another beginning of CaCa's life as she becomes cancer free and gradually adapting back to normal life. Although she would still be having her physiotherapy at Bloorview as a day patient, but she can stay home all the time with GorGor Aaron and to play with him all the time. And once she gets a good hang on walking more stable with her prosthesis, she can then start to try coming back to Cliffwood, her own school, and be able to catch up with all her friends at school. She can also then start to come back to church and worship God with all her brothers and sisters in the family of God.

CaCa is so exciting about completing all treatments and be able to go anywhere she likes and do all different things with GorGor Aaron. She is so looking forward to seeing all her friends and school and church and she is so longing to be able to go on a trip to Disney. CaCa's got a long list of things she wants to do when she's done with all treatments and be able to move on in life. Let us all pray for CaCa to stay well and healthy, pray for her good appetite to eat all yummy meals to make her body strong, pray for God to provide all needed arrangements to make CaCa's transition to go back to home and school, pray for CaCa to grow up with wisdom from God to be able to help others with her experience in cancer and pray for CaCa to continue to shine the lights of God's hope onto people and glorifying God by sharing the love of God with many more.

CaCa's big ministry.

CaCa was back at SickKids on Thursday as scheduled for her 2nd last chemo round. When she got there at SickKids, the doctor asked her to help out with his other patient who is a teenage boy who also has Osteosarcoma exactly at the same location as Cassidy. He had already had a limb salvage surgery some time ago but his cancer has came back and he was facing the decision to have an amputation. So CaCa went on a mission to meet with this teenage boy to show him her leg and to talk with him. CaCa was a little hesitant at first but when she realized that this boy and his family is going through a very hard time making the decision, she felt that she might be able to help them by showing them her leg and how she can still live a very fun and happy life. We believe that the joy and hope that CaCa has in God is revealed to this boy and his family and let us pray for this boy for his strength, and that they may find comfort and peace as they take this big step.

This was also a big step for Cassidy as she has always been hesitant in showing her leg to anyone. We praise God that CaCa finds strength and confidence about her amputation and her joy and hope in God despite her difference. By the grace and love of God, CaCa has turned what seems to be a curse into great blessings. She has become such a blessing to all of us throughout the journey and is now becoming much greater blessings to those whom we don't know but are going through struggles in life. By the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we proclaim victory over pains and sufferings in life, and by the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we defeat all evil and all evil schemes . And in the Name of God, we pray that Cassidy grows up to become a great minister to all others as well as great blessings to others as she shares her journey of cancer to all those who God brings along her life's way.

A Cheerful Busy Day!

Cassidy enjoyed another great weekend at home and attending the long anticipated wedding. She enjoyed the great party much except she was not allowed to eat most of the food that she wanted at the banquet so she was a upset and cried. But nevertheless, CaCa had a great time at the wedding.

As CaCa has gone back to Bloorview, today was an exceptional busy day for her. Specialists and her case manager have gone to do a thorough school visit with CaCa and Mama Carmen this morning at Cliffwood so they can complete an accurate report on CaCa's need when she becomes ready to return to school. The healthcare resource is scarced so let us pray that CaCa's case got approved for personal worker to be granted to care for her when it's time for her to return to regular school so we don't have to worry about her going up and down the stairs and accessing the classrooms and washrooms. CaCa was so glad to see all her friends, teachers and her principal again!

CaCa got a little dizzy from travelling all around this morning and made it back to Bloorview for a very late lunch. According to the schedules, CaCa is due back to SickKids on Thursday for another round of Chemo. Please keep CaCa in our prayers that she stays strong and healthy so that she does well in this round of chemo as we count down to her chemo completion day.

CaCa Jue, you've done great! You're almost done! We'll keep cheering on for you!

Enjoying rest from chemo this week at Bloorview

Cassidy is enjoying her first of the 2 weeks break from chemo at Bloorview. She was home to enjoy playtime with GorGor Aaron and being home with mommy and daddy over the weekend and has already returned to Bloorview to continue her classes and physiotherapies. CaCa was so looking forward to swim at Bloorview and she finally had the chance to go for a dip last night and had so much fun. She is now struggling between the choices of the Baking Class and swimming on Wednesday nights because she also loves baking on every Wednesday nights but she also wants to swim as much as she can since swimming is only available on Monday and Wednesday nights. Oh..... our little princess just have to learn to make some important life choices. But Dr. Jesse says go for baking coz the cookies are yummy yummy....hehe ; p

Mommy says CaCa's doing well and she's feeling fine these last few days, praise God for keeping CaCa well since her last chemo, let's pray that her blood counts stay at a good level and that she remains strong and healthy all the way through her treatments. There is a wedding of a relative this Saturday and CaCa is so looking forward to it. Let's pray that God gives CaCa extra strength this weekend so she gets to enjoy seeing all the relatives who haven't seen her for long and that God would protect her from any sickness even being around so many people. Pray that CaCa and GorGor stick together and have lots of fun at the wedding, and Aaron can help take care of CaCa when mommy and daddy might get busy at times. Aaron, you are such a hero to CaCa, CaCa is so lucky to have a big brother like you.

According to the schedule, CaCa should be back at SickKids next Thursday for the next round of chemo. It is so nice to count down on just 2 more rounds for CaCa.

Keep up the good work Princess, we're cheering for you all the way!

Another one done!!

Praise The Lord! Cassidy has made it through another round of chemo smoothly and has returned to Bloorview yesterday afternoon. There will be 2 weeks of rest from chemo and then 2 more rounds and we're done!!! Way to go girl!

Cassidy is doing well at Bloorview and was enjoying play at Bloorview's play program last night. According to her treatment schedule, the doctors are planning to let her come home hopfully sometime in February and only return as a day patient for her rehab program, then perhaps in March or April, Cassidy can gradually return to her regular school.

Let us all pray hard for Cassidy to remain strong and healthy so she can finish up all her chemo as scheduled. Then pray that she does well in her rehab treatment when she becomes an outpatient in the next month. Also pray for God's guidance on CaCa's returning to regular school especially about how she can adapt to the stairs at Cliffwood. Mama Carmen and Papa Andy needs all the wisdom from God to plan for the best for Cassidy. And most importantly, pray for GorGor Aaron to enjoy the company of Cassidy again as she can soon return home to stay. Pray that Aaron and CaCa invent more fun play and cherishable moments together and that Aaron can help mommy and daddy out in taking care of our little princess. A loving big brother is such a great gift from God to all little girls. Cheers!

Almost Done!

Happy New Year again everyone! We're all back to school today, Dr. Jesse wishes everyone a fun learning day at school and prays that everyone gets back into a hardworking mode quickly and easily after a great long holiday.

Princess Cassidy had a great great great Christmas filled with lots of presents and parties and friends and love. We praise God for blessing her with so many friends, uncles and aunties and for so much love and support, we are so thankful to God for all of you and we cannot thank you all enough for showing us the love that cannot have came from anywhere else but from our heavenly Father.

Cassidy's blood level was not quite high enough for chemo last week so they gave her another week of rest from treatment and just called her back to SickKids yesterday afternoon to start the next round of chemo. According to the schedule, CaCa has only 3 rounds of chemo left and she'll be done. Way to go! CaCa! Let us pray that Cassidy responds well in this round of chemo as well as the rest of them, pray that God would again minimize the side effects of these last rounds of chemo that Cassidy can still sleep and eat well during these times. Pray for the chemo drug to work well to eliminate all tumor cells in Cassidy's body so that she remains strong, healthy and cancer free.

CaCa has been working hard on getting used to her prosthesis, let us also remember to pray for her progress so that she can be up and running around soon. Cassidy likes to go places and she would be thrilled when she's all trained up to go all places without the wheelchair and walker. Cassidy, keep up the good work and let's go all over the world to share the love of God to all people as Jesus told all of us to do. We'll cheer on for you!

At the beginning of a new year, let us all pray that this year would be overflowing of love and blessings from God above. Let us dedicate this year 2008 to our Lord Jesus Christ that we commit our lives to Him to love others and to become a blessing to others around us.
