By the request and suggestion of some concerned brothers and sisters, due to the reason that some of those who are diligently praying for Cassidy and her family are from all around the world and may not know our circle of friends personally, the regular Blog posting may confused them because Dr. Jesse would sometimes refer to people by the names known to local circle only. Therefore, this new Prayer page is made for those who would like to just see the updated prayer needs of the Sheng Family so they can pray more specific prayers for them. So feel free to pass this site onto more prayer buddies to effect a greater prayer power. Thus the name of this new site http://PowerPray.blogspot.com

The Lord has spoken.

A SMS update from Carmen last night:
"CaCa is okay. Dr. Hopyan talked to CaCa, he said her leg is not turning out the way we are hoping for...need to remove the leg. CaCa agreed but showed a bit sad. If her blood count is ok...will do the surgery next week."

As we have prayed, God has granted a decision to the medical team to amputate the leg. Although this is a very heartbreaking decision, but we all trust that this is best for Cassidy's overall health. If Cassidy's blood count and other vitals are in good status, the surgery will be scheduled for next week and chemotherapy will once again be held up until after the next surgery. This is time we pray again for CaCa's body to get extra strong so that she can endure another big surgery and recover well. We shall also pray for the surgery to go smooth and wisdom and strength from God to the medical team. And we pray that all the bad-guy cells be removed from Cassidy's body once and for all.

Most importantly, pray for Cassidy's heart to have peace about yet another change to her body, pray that God teaches her that she is ever valuable to God no matter what happens with her body, because God looks at the hearts of people not their appearances. Although it's going to be another scary experience, but I pray that CaCa gets to experience God more deeply this time with greater strength, courage, peace and joy. And I pray the same for all of us who often see her, talk to her or play with her. I encourage us all to express our joy and gladness or even anticipation of her next surgery to help Cassidy actualize the hope of getting well and going home soon. May be we should have a party for her before she goes in.

Our God would not break the bruised reed nor will He snuff out a smoldering wick. (Matthews 12:20) Our God would not burden us with loads that we cannot bear. Our God promises that "For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (Matthews 11:30) Let us rejoice and be glad in whatever God has set before us. Let us take to heart these great promises from our Lord God and "Be Strong and Courageous" as we take each step towards the glory of God with our dear little Cassidy.

Dear Carmen, Andy, Aaron & CaCa
I'd like to share with you this Bible verse I came across today :

"Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

Continue praying for your family
