By the request and suggestion of some concerned brothers and sisters, due to the reason that some of those who are diligently praying for Cassidy and her family are from all around the world and may not know our circle of friends personally, the regular Blog posting may confused them because Dr. Jesse would sometimes refer to people by the names known to local circle only. Therefore, this new Prayer page is made for those who would like to just see the updated prayer needs of the Sheng Family so they can pray more specific prayers for them. So feel free to pass this site onto more prayer buddies to effect a greater prayer power. Thus the name of this new site http://PowerPray.blogspot.com

Feeling better on Thu & Fri but not the weekend

Cass was feeling better on Thursday and during daytime on Friday. However, she suddenly had a sharp pain at her back since last Friday night. She was then struggling with the pain and could not sleep well over the weekend. The pain seemed to be from her T5 area. The tingling feeling in her right hand and numbness in her thumb have also been much bothering her. As her pain did not subside, we took Cass down to SickKids today for an examination. Again, to comfort Cass, the Pain Team increased the dosage of the pain medication from her CADD pump. The oncology team also arranged for us to return to PMH tomorrow to let the Radiation Oncologist, there, to re-examine the condition of Cass’ back and re-assess if radiation can be re-applied to her T5 area should the pain, this time, be confirmed to be originated from there.

The T5 area is the area where the major tumour was first diagnosed together with other small tumours at Cass’ spinal cord last summer. Owing to the urgency and the location of the tumour, back then, the medical team decided to treat them with chemotherapy and radiation on T5 right away. The radiation treatment was performed in late July and Cass did not get any more pain from the same area since then. But now she's gotten the most pain from her back (T5). Please continue to pray for Cass, pray that her pain be effectively reduced by radiation. God will make the way for Cass.
Meanwhile, we were so thankful that Cass still had some good times to meet with her friends and her little cousins last week. Thank you for giving Cass a cheerful heart!

Cass loves all her little cousins
Some good time with friends
