By the request and suggestion of some concerned brothers and sisters, due to the reason that some of those who are diligently praying for Cassidy and her family are from all around the world and may not know our circle of friends personally, the regular Blog posting may confused them because Dr. Jesse would sometimes refer to people by the names known to local circle only. Therefore, this new Prayer page is made for those who would like to just see the updated prayer needs of the Sheng Family so they can pray more specific prayers for them. So feel free to pass this site onto more prayer buddies to effect a greater prayer power. Thus the name of this new site http://PowerPray.blogspot.com

Cass' Update

It's been gloomy weather the whole week while we were at Sickkids but today, it's actually snowing outside!
We went home with the hospital pass last night because Cass wanted to see all her cousins in the weekend. If the CADD pump manages her pain well and she feels ok, then she doesn't need to go back to the hospital. After being a cupcake and running around to do trick or treat in the hospital for a bit, she took a very long nap while we were waiting for the nurses and doctors to do all the arrangements for her to go home last night. We were so happy to make it home but were having so much trouble to get her into the house!

Cass is having fun with the medical team
Radiation Therapy team in Princess Margaret Hospital
A little cupcake
I woke up in the morning (Saturday Nov. 1) to help Cass take the medications she needed. She felt nausea and was not feeling well. After the medication, she went back to sleep. We wanted to see if she would be ok to stay home this weekend, and we are home now. This is our hope that we can manage everything well during her stay at home. Since she is very weak, with the pain and the numbness, in her leg, she is unable to just stand up by herself. Because of this, walking from one place to another place in the house becomes a big challenge to her and to us.

Please continue to pray for her that the radiation would work to shrink her tumors, that the numbness and the pain will soon be gone, that the tumors in her body would be under control, and that her oncologist will find the suitable chemo drug for her. God's wisdom is well above ours including the medical team's, He will make the best decision for her treatment plan.
