Birthday present to Mom
Cass was awoken in the middle of the night yesterday (Nov. 24) by her discomfort and pain in her leg. She was so confused when she awoke. We were a bit worried by her reaction and we tried to calm her and comfort her. She told me just a few hours ago that she felt sorry for me because she was unable to plan something special for me or prepare me a gift. Rather, she has made everyone stay with her at Emily's House. But, I replied wholeheartedly to Cass that she had already given me the best gift I would have ever received, which was having her to be my beloved daughter. She wrote me a birthday message but she had to spend the whole day to write because she was very weak, with all her discomfort, and with the losing sensation of her leg. She has to struggle with her pain on and off every day. She managed to finish her message yesterday evening. She was so exhausted that she felt very tired right after dinner (our thanks to my dear friends who brought us so much food especially for the birthday). We pray with tears every night since it is so hard for us to see her suffering physically and emotionally every day. This is the most valuable and wonderful present from my daughter, Cass.
Dear Mommy,
Happy Birthday! Yay! Woohoo! Yaaaaaa! This calls for a celebration!
A BIG and SPECIAL and FUN day awaits!
Unfortunately, we are stuck here in Emily's House and I could not plan anything for you But I will try as hard as I can to make it as great as possible. So mommy I just wanted to tell you that I LOVE YOU! And do you know how much? THIS MUCH! Because you are the coolest, funniest, sunshiny, most fashionable, lovely, beautiful and overall the best mom in the whole wide world . You have been there for me through the ups and downs of my life and you have never EVER left my side. You hug me and kiss me when I am hurt and sad, you comfort me and make me feel better again. You played with me as a baby-child-teenager. You fed me and clothed me; always making me happy. We all have our flaws, but because you are so *amazing* I have learned in life to be:
- kind to others
- to share
- to be generous and not greedy (well I try)
- to be happy
and many other good qualities. We all have our bad days and yes we get into fights at times but in the end I will still love you no matter how mad I feel. Mommy you are an amazing person, you really are. I am so thankful to have you as my mom, no other mom would satisfy. For 14 years we have made so many memories, you've been there for me everyday for 14 years. I would write more but my arm is hurting and you keep telling me to stop so...... Happy Birthday!
I ️U!
