By the request and suggestion of some concerned brothers and sisters, due to the reason that some of those who are diligently praying for Cassidy and her family are from all around the world and may not know our circle of friends personally, the regular Blog posting may confused them because Dr. Jesse would sometimes refer to people by the names known to local circle only. Therefore, this new Prayer page is made for those who would like to just see the updated prayer needs of the Sheng Family so they can pray more specific prayers for them. So feel free to pass this site onto more prayer buddies to effect a greater prayer power. Thus the name of this new site http://PowerPray.blogspot.com

Update - Monday (Oct 27)

Cass is feeling tired and sleepy on Monday (Oct. 27). The pain in her right thigh is still there and she feels numbness as well. The doctors changed the morphine to hydromorphine at midnight, and adjusted the dosage for her as she's feeling some heavy pain every few hours. She was so happy to see Heather again in the morning of Monday when it was about time to wake up. Heather played her a song with her ukulele and got Cass more riddles.

Cori and Ryan, the coaches from Flames of Variety Village (Cass’ swim team), visited after Cass had just come back from PMH for the 3rd day of her 8-day radiation. Cass was so excited to see the tattoo design for her from her club and the lovely presents from Penguin, the swim team in Kingston. (you would be amazed to know how much Cass has missed all of you and the races with you all!)

Cass took a nap and woke up just at the right time when Sarah and her mom were about to visit. They had some lovely time to chat with her and planned a bit about this Thursday night for Wicked since Cass asked the doctor if she would be able to see the Musical on Thursday. They ordered a portable pump for Cass such that she could go out with it. However, her oncologist has some concerns about Cass' situation, and will be discussing her health condition and the treatment plan with us in the next two days. However, he doesn't want Cass to be involved in the discussion this time. My heart sank.....

Once again, thank you so much for all her loving friends’ support and prayers. You are the rainbow in her cloudy days. Please continue to pray fervently for her.

One thing impressed me...at the end of the day, Cass was turning on her computer and working on her homework. (However, she was struggling with the pain just 15 minutes ago and had asked for an extra dose of hydromorphone before she started her homework. Cass actually won't be able to go to school these few days)
