Update as of August 01, 2007 @ 4:30pm
It's been confirmed that Cassidy has been admitted at SickKids and her surgery will go on at 8am tomorrow morning. Praise the Lord because that means we don't need to wake CaCa up in the middle of the night to go to the hospital by 6am.
However there is a slight drawback about the condition of Cassidy's leg. The extra swelling in the last few days has increased complexity for the Rotationplasty procedure and the doctor and social worker are saying that the worse case may be to amputate CaCa's leg. Mama Carmen is very worried. It took her a long time to think through the Rotationplasty option and she is struggling to accept yet another unthinkable outcome of surgery. Let us pray for God to calm Carmen's heart so that she can have peace in her heart as she preps Cassidy for the big day tomorrow.
Carmen worries that there may have been some wrong decisions made for Cassidy in the last few days that caused the extra swelling and brought on the extra complexity for surgery, but let no one look back to the past but only look to what is ahead. "Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Phil 3:13-14
Much prayers are needed to uphold Cassidy and her family, let us all humble ourselves and rest in God's sovereignty.

Cassidy,
Our Daddy in Heaven knows every desire of your heart. You are fearfully and wonderfully made; He loved you before you were born. You are always on His mind. Your actions, your thoughts, your emotions - everything.
Don't be afraid to ask Him for big things and expect great things. Our Daddy is a 'rich' daddy with lots of heavenly treasures and blessings upon blessings for you.
Christ Jesus even conquered death. Today, we are alive in Christ and Christ is alive in us. If Christ has conquered death, he can conquer anything.
Trade your worries, pain and sorrows with God. That is exactly what He wants you to do. He also wants you to believe in His never-changing character and everlasting love. Trade your tumor with God. Don't let anyone boast - let God have all the glory. ;)
Cassidy,
may your life be a living testimony
may your heart, eyes and ears be opened
may you live each day submerged in God's love, mercy, grace, presence and glory
may your faith be increased infinitely in Jesus Christ's name!
Blessings and blessings for you, beloved princess of God
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
Cassidy, let our Daddy be your refuge and deliverer!
"Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins." Mark 11:22-25
Through God, all things are possible. He can do things far greater than what surgery can do. He's asking you to have faith in Him. =]
