just a thought, but it's prob tried already. Try giving Cassidy some candies or something small that she likes to eat to get her start trusting food again? hope she gets better soon.
from the perspective of a 7 year old in so much pain, I would try to get her back into her comfort zone. In Sunday School, she really loved to draw. I think we can get her some pencil crayons and paper and let her draw.
That way, she can not only momentarily forget about the pain and enjoy herself, but maybe she will express her feelings and thoughts in the drawings too. and from that, we can have a better understanding of what's in her mind.
I am encouraged because Cassidy is a strong little girl.
